Review: iHerb.com

iHerb.com is an online heath food and nutritional supplement website that also sells the odd beauty brands such as Real techniques makeup brushes by Samantha Chapman and Physician's formula.

I was desperate to get my hands on the Real Techniques brushes after hearing raves about them on youtube but didn't want to fork out the odd $20 + for one brush at Priceline when I could get them for under $10 online.

I went searching and found my way onto iHerb.com thanks to www.youtube.com/user/laurenbeautyy.
In the end I got 4 brushes for $39.96 then shipping was only $6.00 (score!) and they were having a special 10% off, so all up I paid $39.26. I was so happy with my purchase and was so excited for my brushes to arrive in the mail.

I was super surprised when my package arrived less than 2 weeks later, expecting it to take at least another week or so. My brushes were in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with the fast delivery, cheap shipping and low prices iHerb.com has to offer.

I'm currently eyeballing a lot of the physicians formula products since they're all under $15 on the site where as in Priceline you won't pay under $25 (Shame on you Priceline) for most of their items and they very, very rarely go on sale.

I definitely recommend iHerb.com to anyone looking to purchase the Real Techniques brushes or any physicians formula products at a more affordable price than you'd find in store.

Review: cherryculture.com

cherryculture.com is an online store that sells drugstore brands such as Ardell, NYX, China glaze, Jordana, Milani and many others at a discounted price.

I decided to check out cherryculture because I'd heard some really good things about the site and when I saw the unbelievably good prices I couldn't resist. So in the end I broke out the debit card and ended up spending *a lot* more than I should have.

Cherryculture was impressive with their low prices and range of American brands that aren't avaliable to Australians. I was enticed by the milani eyeshadows and nyx eyeliners and ended up purchasing $110.47 worth of products. I purchased 3 Milani baked eyeshadows, a Milani baked blush, baked bronzer and a brow kit, NYX super fat and super skinny eyeliners, the studio HD powder, the nude on nude natural look kit as well as one of the runway collection eyeshadow pallets and lastly a double set of the beauty blender sponge. I was super happy with the price of everything and then my world came crashing down when I remembered that I still had to calculate in the cost of shipping. For insured shipping the price was going to be $31.16 and although my head was about to explode I was far too invested in the beauty blender sponge and milani baked eyeshadows to empty my cart and forget about it all. I closed my eyes and blindly hit the checkout button before I could change my mind.

I paid and entered in the expected arrival date of my package in my calendar for 10-15 days later. The only thing that makes me hesitant to purchase from cherryculture again is the fact that I sold my soul for shipping and then my package took 2 days shy of a month to arrive. Not happy Jan! i dont know what went wrong but cherryculture got some brownie points back when I unwrapped the package and discovered how well  it was packed and that nothing was broken because of it.

All in all I will most likely be purchasing through cherryculture.com again, although I am going to check out some other sites to see if I can get cheaper shipping anywhere else.

Review: Romwe.com

romwe.com  is a online fashion store that is based in China.

I've brought numerous things from romwe.com and love the fact that they offer free international delivery to Australia with no minimum order required.

Why I would recommend Romwe.

1. Like i mentioned above, the free shipping:
I absolutely hate finding things I love online that are so cheap and then having to pay an arm or a leg for shipping. It's not cool, *insert more whinging about how unfair it is* and thats why romwe comes out on top. The only thing about the free delivery is that to Australia, it takes a solid 3-4 weeks for packages to arrive. However there are other shipping methods available - there's express (5-7 days) for $7.00 which is also really, really good and then another express (3-4 days) for $15. So at least theres options if you do see something you like and want to wear it in the near, near future.

2. The range:
Romwe has clothing that I would never see in any Australian shops and I love buying things and wearing them, knowing that no one else has them. Though saying that a lot of the clothing is very on trend so you always know you're in on some trend, for example, galaxy print and military fashion.

3. Constant sales:
One thing about Romwe is they have a lot of leather and higher quality clothing which is slightly more expensive. Good thing I only seem to like the cheap stuff but when there is something slightly more expensive I can be sure they will have some sale soon enough.

4. Stock:
Underneath the name of the product there is the number of units of that item left in stock, which is great if you really want something but you're not sure if you should get it now before they sell out or wait for a sale.

5. Daily new section:
This is updated everyday and is extra handy if you're looking to stay on trends. Its also great because if you see something new you like you can grab it before it sells out.

6. Customer Service:
The very first time I ordered from romwe I freaked out for no reason because my payment cleared an I never got an email saying if my items had been shipped. I sent a short email with my order number and  got a lovely reply the next day saying my items had been shipped. A couple of hours later my mails box whooshed (thats my technical macbook term for the mails box sound) and I got the confimation order saying my items were on their way. Whether they sent me one after I asked about it or it was a conincidence and I was being impatient I'll never know. The 2nd time I ordered from romwe I received a shipping conformation email straight after my payment cleared.

Overall romwe.com is a site I would definitely recommend.

Review: Book depository.co.uk

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk

The book depository is my holy grail for a lot of reasons.

1. Prices:
If i went into a Dymocks or another book store here in Australia I would expect to pay anywhere from $20 - $30 for a simple paperback and even more for a hardback edition. At the book depository I can expect to pay under $15 for a standard paperback and under $20 for a hardback. Most of the time I hunt for the older editions of paperbacks that are under $10.

2. Free Shipping:
You read that right. Free shipping with no minimum purchase amount required. One of the down sides to online shopping is usually you're bargain is not such a bargain after the added shipping cost, but thats where the book depository saves the day with their free shipping.

3. Fast delivery:
So the only downside to free shipping is slow delivery, but once again this is where the book depository comes out on top. Delivery time is usually less than 2 weeks for us Australians which is amazing.

4. Choice:
At the book depository you can chose, (if theres more than one edition out) what year of the book you want.  I love this because a lot of books have different covers for different editions and years so it's nice to be able to decide which one I want.

5. Great customer service:
I've ordered too many books to even count from the book depository and they usually all come on time, except once. It was a while a go now and it was a solid month before I contacted the customer service team at the book depository explaining my book hadn't arrived. I still had the emails from Paypal and the confirmation order from the book depository so I attached them and waited. I got a reply less than 2 days later apologising for the inconvenience and was told another copy was on its way. My new copy arrived a week later and I was so happy with how it was all handled.

Overall if you're looking for a reliable, cheap, easy to use site to buy books online then the book depository is the one for you.
